This Privacy Policy explains how Amber Global Talent Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17120376, whose registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (trading as “Amber Global Health”, and referred to here as “Amber”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website at amberglobalhealth.com and the Amber platform (together, the “Service”). We are the data controller for that personal data.
1. How to contact us
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@amberglobalhealth.com or by post at the registered office above. Amber is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); our registration reference is [ICO reference — add on completion].
2. The personal data we collect
- Identity and contact data — name, email, phone, country of residence and nationality.
- Professional data — profession, qualifications, registrations, experience, references, and the documents and video you choose to upload to your profile.
- Right-to-work and immigration data — information relevant to eligibility to work in a destination country.
- Account and transaction data — membership tier, and payment records. Card payments are processed by our payment providers (e.g. Stripe, Klarna, Clearpay); we do not store full card details.
- Usage and technical data — how you interact with the Service, device and browser information, and data collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Communications — messages, enquiries and support requests.
Some professional and background information may constitute special category or criminal-offence data. Where it does, we only process it where a lawful condition applies — usually your explicit consent, or where necessary for reasons of substantial public interest or to establish eligibility to work.
3. How we use your data, and our lawful bases
- To provide the Service — create and manage your profile, and make it available to prospective employers and agents where you choose — on the basis of performance of a contract with you.
- To match and introduce candidates and employers — on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating the marketplace, and your choices about profile visibility.
- To send service and marketing communications — on the basis of consent and/or legitimate interests. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
- To take payment and administer membership — performance of a contract.
- To meet legal, regulatory and safeguarding obligations, and to secure the Service — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
4. Who we share it with
We share your profile data with prospective employers and recruitment or migration agents only to the extent you have made it visible or asked us to. We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under written agreements — including hosting, cloud storage, email and marketing automation, and payment processing. We may disclose data where required by law, regulation or court order. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Amber operates across the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, so your data may be transferred to, and accessed from, those countries. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we rely on an adequacy decision where one applies, or otherwise put appropriate safeguards in place (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterwards only as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact privacy@amberglobalhealth.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) or your local data-protection authority.
8. Security and children
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above.
